01/12/2011 SMART business and 3e consultants summarized the results of workshop "Prospects for the development of the transport industry in Ukraine. Solution of transport problems and efficient management of transport"

28 November 2011 company in Kiev 3e Consultants and SMART Business, with support from Microsoft Ukraine, held a third workshop - a round table in a series of professional events, entitled "Management of logistics and supply chain: the best ideas and practices in Ukraine and Europe"

Third seminar, held in the format of a "round table" was devoted to current issues in the field of transport logistics and was called "Prospects for development of the transport sector in Ukraine. The solution of transport problems and the effective management of the transportation business."

The thematic structure of the event was structured in such a way as to give participants a full understanding of the system and the transport component of logistics from different points of view - in the context of regulatory and infrastructure policy, the various approaches to solving transportation problems, budgeting and forecasting freight rates, the correct calculation of the cost of transport and forwarding services and, in fact, driving the economy. Practically all report passed into the a lively discussion where participants "round table" could directly ask the speakers questions and get practical advice on topical issues of real business.

The workshop was attended by 65 people from 50 companies - heads of departments of transportation logistics and supply chain management. Among the participants of the third workshop may be noted these companies: Kraft Foods, Kimberly Clark, Herbalife, Bunge, Reckitt Benckiser, Watsons, Auchan, Whirlpool, Nutricia, British American Tobacco, Wimm-Bill-Dann, Kozyrnaya Karta, and others.

The next event in a series of workshops planned for February 2012. and will focus on effective inventory management in manufacturing, distributor and trading business. Among the specially invited speakers and practitioners -Pieter C. W. Vos, Head of Distribution and manager of strategic projects in the field of optimization of supply chains in the Ahold, Makro C&C, Metro Group, Spar, Delhaize Group, Tesco Stores and other European trading networks.
